HONOLULU—The No. 64 University of Hawai'i women's tennis team fell to UC Santa Barbara, 4-2 on Friday afternoon at the UH Tennis Complex. The loss snapped UH's five-match win streak and dropped the Rainbow Wahine's record to 6-4 overall and  2-1 in the Big West.
 
The 'Bows captured the doubles point, winning on courts No. 2 and 3. UH's No. 2 duo of Cindy Nguyen and Roxanne Resma defeated the Gauchos' Amanda Atanasson and Lou Adler, 6-3, while Marina Hruba and Paulina Petriskova held off  Melissa Baker and Stephanie Yamada by a break to win the first point.
 
In singles, however, the Gauchos won four out of the first five matches to seal their victory. Hawai'i's only win came on the No. 2 court with Marina Hruba remaining unbeated at 12-0 with a 6-0, 6-3 win over Adler. All of the matches were close with No. 1 Cindy Nguyen falling 7-5, 6-4 to Palina Dubavets and both Resma and Klara Pribylova losing in three set matches.
 
Up next for the Rainbow Wahine are the No. 46 Oregon Ducks on Sunday, Feb. 28 at 1:00 p.m.
