HONOLULU – Six Hawai'i players scored in double figures as the UH women's basketball team took down Hawai'i Pacific 88-54 in the Stan Sheriff Center on Sunday.
Leah Salanoa led the 'Bows with a career-high 19 points on 6-of-9 shooting while

Lahni Salanoa (13),
Olivia Crawford (12),
Briana Harris (12) and
Makenna Woodfolk (11) also scored in double-figures to help Hawai'i snap a four-game skid. Hawai'i (3-6) finished with 13 assists on 26 baskets and committed a season-low 12 turnovers in the game.
After taking a 14-13 lead through one quarter, UH used a dominant second quarter to pull away. The 'Bows hit 5-of-10 3s in the second and went 10-for-17 from the field overall while holding the Sharks without a field goal (0-for-12) to take a 41-23 lead into the break.
Hawai'i was stagnant coming out of the locker room in the third quarter, committing five turnovers and going 3-of-9 from the field while HPU owned an 11-5 advantage on the glass. The fourth quarter, however, belonged to Hawai'i. The Rainbow Wahine outscored the Sharks 33-16 in the fourth, hitting 12-of-13 free throws and 9-of-15 shots from the field to seal the victory.
Hawai'i shot 46 percent (26-of-56) from the field and 44 percent (12-of-27) from 3, while hitting 86 percent (24-of-28) of its free throws. The 'Bows held a 40-34 rebounding advantage in the game and had a 14-4 advantage in second-chance points.
Woodfolk scored seven of her career-high-tying 11 points at the free throw line, where she went 7-for-8. She also added seven rebounds to tie for the game-high with
Julissa Tago. Freshman
Courtney Middap made her Rainbow Wahine debut after recovering from an injury, and finished with three points and four rebounds.
Lahni Salanoa, Toeaina and Tago led Hawai'i with three assists each.
VeAnne Navarro led HPU with 12 points and Aminata Cole had a team-high six rebounds for the Sharks, who shot 24 percent (14-of-58) from the field and 13 percent (3-of-24) from 3-point range.
Hawai'i returns to action for a pair of non-conference road games at Nevada (Dec. 18) and Boise State (Dec. 20). The Rainbow Wahine will be back in the Stan Sheriff Center to host Grand Canyon on Dec. 29 in the non-conference finale before opening up Big West play at Long Beach State on Jan. 5.
