WAHIAWA, O'ahu – The University of Hawai'i women's golf team finished in third place after Thursday's final round of the Rainbow Wahine Invitational at the Leilehua Golf Course.
The Rainbow Wahine posted their third top three finish at the tournament in the last four years. Sacramento State overtook No. 27 Brigham Young to capture the team title at 863 after a final round 5-under 283. BYU was runner-up at 870 followed by UH (875), Portland State (882), North Dakota State (888), Grand Canyon (907), UT Rio Grande Valley (916), and UH-Hilo (975).
Individually, Sac State's Julia Becker held on for medalist honors with a final round 1-under 71 and 5-under 211 total. BYU's Rose Huang, last year's medalist, finished one stroke back with her second straight 70 to finish 4-under 212.
Senior
Raquel Ek was UH's top finisher at 2-over 218 after a final round 75 to finish in a four-way tie for fifth. Senior
Daezsa Tomas and sophomore
Kaci Masuda each finished at 3-over 219 to tie for ninth place. Tomas posted UH's best score of the day with a 2-under 70. Senior
Izzy Leung struggled with a 77 to tie for 15
th at 5-over 221.

th).
The Rainbow Wahine Invitational was UH's final tournament of the fall season. The Rainbow Wahine will open the spring season with the Battle at the Rock, Feb. 12-13 in Riverside, Calif.
