BERKELEY, Calif.-The University of Hawai'i men's tennis team (1-4, 0-0 Big West) opened its first team road trip of the 2016 season at No. 27 California at the Hellman Tennis Complex on Saturday morning. The Rainbow Warriors fell to the Golden Bears, 4-0.

Cal clinched the doubles points with wins on the No. 2 and No. 3 courts with Filip Bergevi and Andre Goransson defeated UH's Marcel Chan and Nikolai Storch, 6-1 at No. 2. Hawai'i's No. 3 duo of Joakim Pinola and Igor Kolaric fell to Billy Griffith and J.T. Nishimura, 6-3 to earn the first point of the match.

Cal's No. 86 Bergevi defeated UH's Chan, 6-1, 6-2 at No. 3. No. 54 Oskar Wikberg swept Pinola, 6-3, 6-0 while 30^th-ranked Florian Lakat of California knocked off Felix Albert on the No. 1 court, 6-1, 6-2.

The Rainbow Warriors will stay in California to face their first Big West Conference opponent, UC Davis on Feb. 2, followed by Pacific on Feb. 4.
