Photo GalleryHONOLULU—The University of Hawai'i women's tennis team fell to No. 56 Washington, 6-1 at the UH Tennis Complex on Saturday morning. Hawai'i's record falls to 1-2 overall while the Huskies improved to 4-0.
Washington captured the doubles points with a pair of 6-2 decisions on the No. 1 and and No. 3 courts.
In singles, rookie
Marina Hruba continued her hot start to the season, remaining undefeated at 6-0. Hruba won the first set by a break, 6-4 but then fell in the second set 2-6. With the match already decided, the match was decided on a tie-breaker which Hruba won 10-7. She was the lone Rainbow Wahine to win her singles match as Washington cruised to a 6-1 win.
Next up for Hawai'i will be dual matches against San Jose State on Saturday, Jan. 23 and Arizona on Sunday, Jan. 24.
