‘Bows Open Big West Road Play At UC Riverside, Cal State Fullerton

Game Notes

HONOLULU – After holding serve to open the league season, The University of Hawai'i men's basketball team takes its perfect conference record on the road, traveling to UC Riverside and Cal State Fullerton for a pair of Big West matchups. The 'Bows play UC Riverside Thursday, Jan. 14 at 7:00 p.m. PT (5:00 p.m. HT) and CSF Saturday, Jan. 16 at 6:00 p.m. PT (4:00 p.m. HT). Both games will be streamed live on ESPN3.
 
With two wins this week, UH (13-2, 2-0 BWC) can tie the best start to a season since 2001-02, a season the 'Bows won the Western Athletic Conference title and earned their fourth and most recent appearance in the NCAA Tournament. Hawai'i is also riding a five-game win streak, the longest active streak in the Big West.
 
The 'Bows are 6-2 all-time vs. UC Riverside and 5-1 since joining the Big West in 2012. Four of those five league wins have been by double digits. The 'Bows have lost just once in four Big West road games at UCR, a narrow four-point defeat last season.
 
Isaac Fleming, tied for second in the Big West with teammate Quincy Smith in steals per game, dropped a career-high 22 points off the bench vs. UC Santa Barbara this past week with Smith adding a career-best six steals. As a team, the 'Bows continue to be the league's top scoring team at 80.3 ppg with Roderick Bobbitt leading the Big West in steals per game (2.14)
