Final ResultsNAPA VALLEY, Calif. – In its final tune-up for the upcoming Big West Conference Championships, the University of Hawai'i women's golf team placed 14
th at the Silverado Showdown, following Tuesday's third and final round at the Silverado Country Club.
The Rainbow Wahine matched their first round score of 317 to finish with a three-round total of 945. Co-host Oregon (889) captured the team title by one stroke over Oregon State, who moved up two spots to finish runner-up. Co-host Colorado was third at 891. California's Lucia Gutierrez shot a final round 4-under 68 to capture medalist honors with a 4-under 212 total. Colorado's Esther Lee, the Day 1 leader, shot 74 on Tuesday to finish at 1-under 215 was the runner-up.
UH sophomore
Izzy Leung was the team's top finisher tying for 32
nd place with a 13-over 229 total (78-71-80) after a final round 80. Fellow sophomore
Raquel Ek was the lone Rainbow Wahine to break 80 with a final round 75 that included three birdies. She finished the tourney at 233 (79-79-75) to tie for 47
th.
Freshman
Marie Donnici tied for 62
nd at 239 (78-80-81) after a third round 81. Sophomore
Brianna Becker also shot 81 on Tuesday to finish at 246 (84-81-81) and 72
nd place while junior
Nichole Cruz placed 76
th at 252 (82-88-83).
The Rainbow Wahine will next compete in the Big West Conference Championships, April 19-21, in Davis, Calif.
