The University of Hawai'i women's tennis team will travel to California to close the regular season against Big West opponent, CSUN on Sunday, April 19th at the Matador Tennis Complex in Northridge, Calif. First serve is slated for 12:00 p.m. PT.Hawai'i most recently completed their 17-day road trip on the West Coast. UH's Cindy Nguyen is currently ranked No. 95 in the led the Intercollegiate Tennis Association's (ITA) rankings. She led the `Bows on the roadtrip with five singles and three doubles wins and was named the "Big West Athlete of the Week" for the week of March 23-29. Overall, Nguyen is 13-4 in dual matches this season--all on the No. 1 court for Hawai'i. Viktoria Malova is 9-6 going into the final regular season match of the year. She is 9-6 at No. 2 and 1-0 at No. 1 and 0-1 at No. 3. The Rainbow Wahine most recently played against Big West opponent, UC Davis where the `Bows rallied past the Aggies, 5-2.
CSUN is currently ranked No. 74 in the nation with a 14-4 record in 2015. The Matadors' Criss Rodriguez has a team-high of 14 singles victories. Doubles pair Kristen Poei and Mickey Hsu pace the team in doubles with an impressive 14-3 record. The `Bows defeated CSUN last season in Northridge, Calif., 4-0.
