NAPA VALLEY, Calif. – University of Hawai'i sophomore Izzy Leung is tied for 13^th after the first two rounds of the Silverado Showdown, Monday, at the Silverado Country Club.
 
The sophomore fired rounds of 78 and 71 for a 149 total, eight strokes off the lead held by Colorado's Esther Lee. Leung's 1-under 71 in Round 2 was the fifth lowest of the round and propelled her 23 spots after her opening round 78. Her second round including four birdies, one bogey, and one double.
 
As a team, the Rainbow Wahine are in 14^th place among the 15-team field with a 628 total (317-311). Co-hosts Oregon and Colorado hold the top two spots at 589 and 592, respectively. The other Big West Conference team, Long Beach State, is in 11^th place at 618.
 
Among UH's other competitors, sophomore Raquel Ek and freshman Marie Donnici are tied for 56^th at 158. Ek shot consecutive rounds of 79 while Donnici fired 78 and 80. Sophomore Brianna Becker is tied for 71^st at 165 (84-81) while junior Nichole Cruz is tied for 76^th at 170 (82-88).
 
The tournament concludes on Tuesday with the third and final round. Following the tourney, the Rainbow Wahine will next compete in the Big West Conference Championships, April 19-21, in Davis, Calif.
