STOCKTON, Calif. - The No. 2 University of Hawai'i women's sand volleyball team opened up its second road trip of the season with a 4-1 win over Pacific on Thursday afternoon at Raney Courts. The 'Bows improved to 7-1 and remain perfect on the mainland at 3-0.

Olivia Urban and Katie Spieler got the match-clinching point on the No. 2 court, handily beating the Pacific pair of Megan Birch and Anne-Sophie Bauer, 21-10, 21-8.

Sammie Brown and Hannah Rooks got the Sand 'Bows on the board first, rallying from a set down to top Mia Feiner and Gillian Howard 20-22, 21-16, 15-9.

The teams split their matchups on the four and five courts. Both matches went the distance with London Chow and Ka'iwi Schucht keeping UH in the lead with their win over Taylor Poncetta and Andie Shelton.

The one and two pairings were the last to play as Urban and Spieler sealed the win with their victory at the two. Nikki Taylor and Brittany Tiegs swept their match at the one to complete the afternoon.

UH now heads to Santa Cruz, Calif. for the Santa Cruz Collegiate Challenge hosted by Santa Clara University this Saturday and Sunday, March 28-29. Joining the 'Bows in the tournament will be the host Broncos, San Francisco, California, Cal Poly, and Cal State Bakersfield.
