Photo GalleryKAPALUA, Maui – The University of Hawai'i women's golf team concluded the Anuenue Spring Break Classic in 11
th place after Wednesday's final round at Kapalua's The Bay Course.
The Rainbow Wahine shot 308 and finished the tourney at 922 (316-298-308). Fellow Big West Conference member UC Davis captured the team title with an 863 total while the Aggies' Andrea Wong took medalist honors with a 7-under 209 after a final round 70. Wong's teammate Paige Lee finished runner-up (212) while Texas (871) was the team runner-up. Oregon's Caroline Inglis was the only other golfer to finish the tourney under par at 1-under 215.
Rounding out the Top 10 was Louisville (874), SMU (878), Oregon (879), San Jose State (884), Gonzaga (889), Oregon State (896), Santa Clara (912), and UC Riverside (921).
Sophomore
Raquel Ek was the top Rainbow Wahine finisher with a final round 74 for a 7-over 223 total and tie for 25
th place. Sophomore
Izzy Leung finished 12-over 228 and tied for 37
th at 228. Sophomore
Brianna Becker shot 77 and tied for 51
st at 235 while junior
Nichole Cruz fired her third straight 80 and finished at 240 for a tie for 62
nd. Freshman
Marie Donnici tied for 64
th at 242.
Three Rainbow Wahine competed as individuals – sophomore
Daezsa Tomas (78-77-80=235/t51st),
Lauren Kirkwood (81-84-77=242/t64th), and
Kelli-Anne Katsuda (81-84-81-246/t75th).
The Rainbow Wahine will next compete in the Silverado Showdown, April 13-14, in Napa, Calif.
