Busy Week On Tap For No. 1 Rainbow Wahine

HONOLULU – The top-ranked and undefeated University of Hawai'i women's sand volleyball team returns home for a busy week of action beginning on Wednesday with an inaugural statewide televised match against No. 3 USC. UH then hosts the Queen of the Beach Challenge on Friday and Saturday and finishes the weekend with a pair of dual matches on Sunday against Nebraska and California.
 
Wednesday's televised meeting versus the Women of Troy will not only be the first in program history, but the inaugural match at UH's new home court at the Clarence T.C. Ching Complex. The non-televised portion of the dual match will begin at 4:00 p.m. with the OCSports broadcast live for the final two matches of the evening featuring the top two pairings for both teams.
 
UH then has a day off before beginning the Queen of the Beach Challenge showcasing pairs from USC, Nebraska, and Cal. Friday's matches will take place at the Queen's Beach Sandbox before the tournament moves to the Ching Complex on Saturday.
 
The weekend concludes on Sunday with a pair of televised matches against Nebraska (7:00 p.m.) and Cal (8:00 p.m.).
 
The 'Bows have had a perfect start to the season beginning with their win against defending national champion Pepperdine on opening weekend. UH also beat Loyola Marymount that same day and lost just one game in this past weekend in beating Grand Canyon and blanking Texas Christian.

Friday, March 20: Queen of the Beach Challenge at Queen's Beach Sandbox
Saturday, March 21: Queen of the Beach Challenge at Ching Complex
Sunday, March 22: Cal vs. Nebraska (3:00 p.m.), Hawai'i vs. Nebraska (7:00 p.m.), Hawai'i vs. Cal (8:00 p.m.). All matches played at Ching Complex.
