HONOLULU -- The No. 53 University of Hawai'i women's tennis team returns home to play against Big West opponent, UC Irvine (Feb. 21) at the UH Tennis Complex.

The 'Bows are returning from a two-match road trip in California, where the team went 1-1. UH came back to defeat San Diego, 4-3, but lost 5-2 to conference leader, No. 40 Long Beach State. Senior Rebecca Faltusz is leading the team with the most singles wins and is currently on a four-match winning streak in singles. She recently defeated San Diego's Marisa Marsh, 6-0, 6-1 and Long Beach State's Laura Eales 7-6 (5), 0-6, 10-5. Cindy Nguyen won both her singles matches this past roadtrip, including a straight-set win over No. 99 Maeva Razakasoa of Long Beach State, 6-3, 7-5. 

UC Irvine most recently defeated Big West opponent, UC Davis 4-3. UCI is led by senior Kat Facey is who is currently unbeaten in singles with a 6-0 record. She most recently beat UC Davis' Tiffany Pham 6-3, 6-1. The two teams last met in the Big West Tournament semifinals in April, where UH fell in a heartbreaking match, 4-3 against the Anteaters.
