Final ResultsSEAL BEACH, Calif. – The University of Hawai'i women's golf team tied for seventh place after the final round of the The Gold Rush presented by Southern California Ford Dealers, Tuesday at the Old Ranch Country Club.
The Rainbow Wahine shot a final round 314 for a 925 total (301-310-314). Host Long Beach State captured the team title at 883 while BYU's Lea Garner took medalist honors with an even par 216 total, one stroke better than LBSU's Kassidy Teare (217).
UH was led by sophomore
Izzy Leung, who fired a final round 75 to finish tied for 23
rd at 13-over 229 (76-78-75). One stroke back was sophomore
Raquel Ek, who tied for 25
th at 230 (74-77-79).
Sophomore
Brianna Becker tied for 42
nd at 236 (77-74-85) while sophomores
Kelli-Anne Katsuda and
Daezsa Tomas each shot 80 on Tuesday to finish 239 (74-85-80/t50th) and 241 (80-81-80/t54th), respectively.
The Rainbow Wahine will next host the Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational, March 10-11 at the Kane'ohe Klipper Golf Course on Marines Corps Base Hawai'i.
