Men's Basketball Opens Road Play At Texas Tech

HONOLULU – The University of Hawai'i men's basketball team will take to the road this week for the first time, traveling to Lubbock, Tex. and a matchup with Texas Tech (3-1) on Sunday, Nov. 28 at United Supermarkets Arena. Tip off is set for 3:00 p.m. CT (11:00 HT) and will be the first ever meeting between the two schools.

The game will be the second time in three seasons the 'Bows will visit the central time zone, the last a 92-80 loss at Missouri. The previous meeting with a Big 12 school was in 2008, a nail-biting win against Iowa State at the Stan Sheriff Center.

The 'Bows (4-0) come in with plenty of momentum, off to their best start since the 2010-11 season. With three dominating wins and an epic victory over Nevada to win the Outrigger Resorts Rainbow Classic, the Rainbow Warriors are poised to notch their first non-conference mainland road win since 2013.

UH enters the week as statistically the top offensive threat in the Big West Conference, averaging 84.0 points per game and shooting 50.2% from the field. Defense has also remained a forte for the 'Bows who rank No. 1 in steals per game (8.75).

Swingman Sai Tummala continues to be the top deep threat for the 'Bows ranking in a tie for seventh nationally and first in the conference in three-point field goal percentage (66.7). Roderick Bobbitt is averaging a league best 7.75 assists per game to go along with a pair of double doubles.
