HONOLULU - The University of Hawai'i men's basketball team begins Big West Conference play this week with a pair of games, beginning with a contest against Cal Poly on Wednesday, Jan. 7. Tipoff is set for 7:00 p.m. at the Stan Sheriff Center.

At 12-4, the 'Bows enter the week already with the most non-conference victories in program history and the most of any Big West team this season, but will have their hands full against the defending Big West Tournament  champion Mustangs.
 
The Rainbow Warriors begin their third season in the Big West after finishing fourth (9-7) in the 2013-14 campaign. Hawai'i was picked fifth in the media's Big West preseason poll released in October.

UH will face a Cal Poly (7-5) squad that has won four of its last five games. The Mustangs, who were picked sixth in the preseason poll, split last year's season series with the 'Bows and have won five of their last six meetings.

Following its contest with Cal Poly, UH will host CSUN on Saturday, Jan. 10 (7:00 p.m.) at the Stan Sheriff Center.
