HONOLULU – The University of Hawai'i men's basketball team is set to open Big West Conference road play this Saturday, Jan. 17 (8:30 p.m. PT, 6:30 p.m. HT), traveling to UC Riverside for a nationally televised game on ESPNU.
 
The 'Bows enter just their second away game of the season and are 1-1 in conference play. They dropped an overtime defeat to Cal Poly in their league opener but responded with a 15-point win over CSUN on Saturday night.
 
The win over the Matadors saw Aaron Valdes pour in a career-high 34 points and UH tie a single-game program record with 20 steals. Valdes and Roderick Bobbitt each contributed five steals in the record-tying game.
 
Along with being one of the nation's steal leaders, the 'Bows lead the Big West with 73.6 ppg and are among the league leaders with 12.39 offensive rebounds per game.
 
Individually, Bobbitt leads the Big West in assists per game (6.06) and steals per game (2.78).
