Photo GallerySAN JACINTO, Calif. – The third and final round of the Big West Conference Men's Golf Championship was cancelled Tuesday after tournament officials deemed the course at The Country Club at Soboba Springs unplayable due to high winds.
With wind gusts of up to 40 mph, the final round of competition was delayed for over an hour. The first groups actually began play before rules and Big West officials decided to cancel the round.
Cal State Fullerton was ruled the tournament champion with a two-round total of 578, two strokes over UC Davis (580). UC Riverside (586) was third followed by Long Beach State (587), UC Irvine (588), UH (591), CSU Northridge (595), Cal Poly (599), and UC Santa Barbara (602).

Last season, Calip placed seventh and his second place finish was the highest for a UH golfer at a conference championship since Jarrett Hamamoto lost in a play-off for the individual title at the 2006 Western Athletic Conference Championship.
