SAN JACINTO, Calif. – University of Hawai'i senior Nainoa Calip is in a three-way tie for second place following Monday's second round of the Big West Conference Men's Golf Championship at The Country Club at Soboba Springs.

As a team, the Rainbow Warriors shot 301 and dropped to sixth place with a 591 total. CSU Fullerton (578) enters the final round with a two-stroke lead over UC Davis (580) after each shot 291 on Monday. UH junior Brian Lee shot a second round 2-over 74 and is even-par 144 for the championship. The Honolulu native, who is tied for ninth place, made the turn at 1-under before a costly double-bogey at No. 10 led to a back nine 39. Senior David Saka salvaged a steady round of 75 with birdies at the three finishing holes of which he is 4-under over the two rounds. The Honolulu native improved eight strokes from his first round 83 and is in 43rd at 158.
