HONOLULU – The University of Hawai'i men's basketball team plays the third of four straight home games when its battles UC Santa Barbara in a key Big West match-up on Thursday, Feb. 6. Tipoff is set for 7:00 p.m. at the Stan Sheriff Center.
 
The 'Bows (15-6, 4-3 BWC) have won four of their last five games and are just one game off the pace in the Big West. One of the teams in front of UH is UCSB (14-6, 5-2 BWC) as the Gauchos are currently in a three-way tie for first with Long Beach State and  UC Irvine.
 
Hawai'i is 11-3 at home this year and split its first two games of the homestand, suffering a disappointing loss to LBSU before bouncing back with a win over Cal State Northridge. Sophomore forward Isaac Fotu led UH with 20 points in the win over the Matadors and has emerged in Big West play, averaging a team-leading 18.7 ppg.
 
Fotu and his teammate will contend with UCSB junior forward Alan Williams, who has been a dominant force this year ranking seventh in the nation in both scoring (23.3 ppg) and rebounding (11.1 rpg). UH swept UCSB in the regular-season last year, including a 70-66 win in Honolulu.

Promotions: Pepsi is the sponsor on Thursday and will award an iPad during halftime. UH season-ticket holders in all UH sports and members of the military receive 50% off adult tickets. The California Hotel & Casino is the sponsor of Saturday's contest and will award a Vacations Hawaii trip to Las Vegas at halftime. UH Kids' Club members are invited onto the court for the pre-game ceremonies. There will be an autograph session with the men's basketball team in the arena concourse near Gate B following the game. UH Alumni Association paid members and members of the military receive 50% off adult tickets. UH Student Promotions: Thursday's game is "Retro Aloha Shirt Night" and the student with the craziest, ugliest, or most colorful aloha shirt will win a special prize. Saturday's game is "Superhero Night" and the student with the best costume will win a special prize. Also, students will receive free Manoa Maniacs t-shirts at both games (while supplies last)
Coaches: Gib Arnold is in his fourth year at UH (67-50). Bob Williams is in his 16th season at UC Santa Barbara (262-207) and 26th year overall (452-307).
