Men’s Basketball Hosts Delaware State, Travels To BYU This Week

The 'Bows tipped off their 8-game, 13-day start with a 6-2 record
Game Notes

HONOLULU – The University of Hawai'i men's basketball team returns home to host Delaware State (Tuesday, Dec. 2) this week at the Stan Sheriff Center, then travels to Salt Lake City and a matchup with BYU (Saturday, Dec. 6) at EnergySolutions Arena.

The' Bows (6-2) are in the midst of an excellent start to the season and are coming off a solid showing at the Gulf Coast Showcase last week in Florida. UH, after dropping the opener of the tournament, beat Marist then East Carolina to win the consolation title. The win against ECU capped an eight-game, 13-day stint to start the season.

Hawai'i ranks among the highest in the nation in a handful of statistical categories. The 'Bows rank sixth in the nation in three-point attempts (162) and are 32nd nationally and
second in the Big West in three-point field goals made (50). Negus Webster-Chan (14) and Garrett Nevels (12) lead the 'Bows in that category.

Roderick Bobbitt continues to be UH's most versatile player. He leads the Big West with 5.40 apg and boasts a league-best 2.75 steals per game. He is also averaging
9.8 points per game. Bobbitt is also just one of two players in the nation this year to have recorded a triple-double, accomplishing that feat against UH-Hilo (12 pts,
10 ast, 10 stl).

UH tips off against DSU at 7:00 p.m. with the start time against the Cougars set for 4:00 p.m. MT (1:00 p.m. HT).
