No. 21 Rainbow Wahine Face Road Tests At CSUN, Long Beach State

HONOLULU – In what will undoubtedly be billed as a pair of Big West Conference heavyweight matchups, the No. 21 University of Hawai'i Rainbow Wahine volleyball team will take on Cal State Northridge this Friday, Oct. 10 at 7:30 p.m. PT (4:30 p.m. HT) and face Long Beach State on Saturday, Oct. 11 at 7:00 p.m. PT (4:00 p.m. HT).

The 'Bows also enter the week ranked No. 17 in the NCAA's first RPI poll with CSUN at No. 20 and Long Beach State at No.38. Hawai'i (12-3, 4-0 BWC), along with LBSU, are the two remaining undefeated teams in league play.

The Rainbow Wahine continue to be one of the top defensive teams in the Big West, ranking first in blocks per set (3.16) and opponent hitting percentage (.161). Individually, middle blocker Olivia Magill is eighth in the nation with 1.58 blocks per set.

Tai Manu-Olevao had an impressive weekend in her team's sweeps of Cal State Fullerton and UC Irvine. After logging nine kills against the Titans on Friday, she unleashed 15 kills against UCI and hit at a career-high .429 clip for a match with at least 20 kills.

UH's Friday matchup with the Matadors will be broadcast regionally on FOX Sports Prime Ticket with Saturday's Long Beach State contest streamed on ESPN3.
