Live ScoringSAMMAMISH, Wash. – The University of Hawai'i women's golf team completed the first day of the Eden Ihlanfeldt Invitational, Tuesday, at the Sahalee Country Club. Due to heavy fog in the area, the tournament's first round was cancelled and the field was only able to complete the second round.
The Rainbow Wahine are currently in 11
th place with a 304 total. Host Washington holds the lead at 285, nine strokes better than Gonzaga (294). Stanford is in third (296) followed by San Jose State (299), Columbia (300), UC Davis (301) and Colorado State (301).
Leading the way for UH was sophomore
Kelli-Anne Katsuda, who shot 2-over 74 and is currently in a tie for 17
th place. The Honolulu native posted three birdies on her round, including at Nos. 4, 14, and 18. One stroke back is junior
Nichole Cruz (75) who is tied for 27
th and behind her is sophomore
Izzy Leung (76), the Big West Conference's reining Golfer of the Month.
Also competing for the Rainbow Wahine are sophomores
Raquel Ek (79) and
Brianna Becker (81).
The tournament concludes on Wednesday with the third and final round.
