Live ScoringWAHIAWA, O'ahu – The University of Hawai'i women's golf team completed the 4
th Rainbow Wahine Invitational in seventh place Thursday at the Leilehua Golf Course.
Vanderbilt ran away with the tournament title with a 2-under 862 total, 34 strokes ahead of runner-up Boise State (896). Vanderbilt's Cindy Ha captured medalist honors with birdies on her last three holes, and hit the flag stick on her final hole, en route to a two-stroke win over teammate Kendall Martindale. Ha finished the 54-hole tournament at 6-under 210.
UH's top individual was
Izzy Leung, who shot a final round 76 for a 10-over 226 total a tie for 17
th place. Sophomore
Raquel Ek was three strokes back after a final round 1-over 73 put her at 229 for the tournament and tie for 22
nd.
Freshman
Marie Donnici completed her best finish as a Rainbow Wahine with a 231 total (78-75-78) and tied for 28
th along with sophomore
Brianna Becker, who posted her third straight 77. Junior
Nichole Cruz shot 80 and totaled 239 for a tie for 57
th place.
Also competing as individuals for the Rainbow Wahine were sophomore
Kelli-Anne Katsuda (83-76-76=235/t44th) and freshman
Lauren Kirkwood (82-81-83=246/69
th).
The Rainbow Wahine will next compete in the Pac 12 Preview at Nanea, Nov. 3-4 in Kohala, Hawai'i.
