Final ResultsFAIRFAX, Calif. – The University of Hawai'i men's golf team shot a final round 307 to complete the Alister MacKenzie Invitational in 16
th place Tuesday at the Meadow Club.
Sophomore
Skye Inakoshi posted an even par 71 and was UH's top finisher at 9-over 222 (74-77-71) and tie for 55
th place. The Honolulu native moved up 19 spots up the leaderboard with a round that included five birdies.
Junior
Justin Chu was two strokes back after a final round 77 tied him for 67
th place at 224 (73-74-77). Senior
Brian Lee shot 80 to tie for 69
th overall at 225 (72-73-80) while junior
Scotty Yamashita dropped to 71
st place with a final round 84 to finish at 226 (62-80-84). Yamashita was the first round leader with a 9-under 62 during Monday's first round. Senior
Ryan Kuroiwa placed 76
th at 229 (74-76-79).
As a team, the Rainbow Warriors totaled 888 (281-300-307). Host California (839) edged out Arizona State to capture the team title by two strokes. ASU's Max Rottluff won medalist honors with a 9-under 204 total, two strokes better than Oregon State's Tyler Collier.
The Rainbow Warriors will next compete at the Bill Cullum Invitational, Oct. 20-21, in Simi Valley, Calif.
