UH Swimming & Diving Returns To Action This Week

Amund Gismervik won the 3-meter against Purdue
HONOLULU – The University of Hawai'i men's and women's swimming & diving teams return to action this week with a pair of competitions at the Duke Kahanamoku Aquatic Complex. UH will host the Hawai'i Diving Invitational on Wednesday, Jan. 8 and Thursday, Jan. 9 with the Hawai'i swimmers facing Minnesota in a dual meet on Saturday.
 
Joining the 'Bows at the Hawai'i Diving Invitational are Wisconsin, Columbia, Nebraska, and Minnesota-Mankato. The event opens with the men's 1-meter and women's 3-meter and finishes on Thursday with the women's 1-meter, men's 3-meter, and platform events. Competition begins at 11:00 a.m. each day.
 
The Hawai'i swimmers are coming off a loss to Purdue last Saturday where a handful of 'Bows had impressive performances. Eduardo Guimaraes, Alistair Maclean, and Victor Goicoechea ll had first-place finishes in their respective swimming events and Jasmine Alkhaldi won silver in a pair of freestyle events for the Rainbow Wahine.
