HONOLULU – The University of Hawai'i men's basketball team tips off a four-game homestand when it hosts Long Beach State on Thursday, Jan. 30. Tipoff is set for 7:00 p.m. at the Stan Sheriff Center.
The Rainbow Warriors (14-5, 3-2 BWC) have won three games in a row including a dramatic 90-86 come-from-behind overtime win at UC Irvine on Saturday. After starting the Big West season with a pair of losses, UH now finds itself in a tie for third place in the standings and just one game out of first.
The Rainbow Warriors are averaging 93.3 points in its last three wins and rank 16th in the nation in scoring (82.7) and 22nd in field goal percentage (.484). Hawai'i is 10-2 at home this year and routed UC Riverside, 100-69, in its first league game home of the year on Jan. 18.
The 'Bows now face a Long Beach State squad (7-12, 3-2 BWC) that has won two straight league games. Long Beach State, the defending Big West regular-season champion, was picked fourth in the preseason media poll and is currently in a three-way tie for third with UH and UC Santa Barbara.

UH Student Promotions: Thursday's game is
"Rainbow Warrior Paint Night" and the student with best painted face will win a special prize. Saturday's game is
"Pajama Night" and the student with the funniest "jammies" will win a special prize. Also, students will receive a slice of pizza. All student giveaways will be at the Manoa Maniacs table at Gate B.
