Sedore Named MPSF Player Of The Week

University of Hawai'i sophomore opposite Brook Sedore was named the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Molten Player of the Week following his monster weekend in the team's two-match sweep of UC San Diego.

Sedore (Grande Prairie, Alberta, Canada) accumulated 50 kills (5.56 K/S) with a .400 hitting attack (50-16-85), 13 digs (1.44 D/S), nine blocks (1.00 B/S), and two aces through the weekend in propelling the Warriors to a MPSF Tournament berth. He slammed 31 kills (.489) the second night, third most for a match in the conference this year and totaled 58 series points (6.44 P/S).

Sedore is the third Warrior to earn the conference's weekly award this season after freshman Sinisa “Siki” Zarkovic was a two-time winner. He ranks second on the team with a 2.93 kills per set average and since moving to the opposite position full-time, he has a team-best 3.64 average.

The Warriors will open the MPSF Tournament with a quarterfinal round match-up against top-seeded BYU, Saturday in Provo, Utah.
