Warriors To Face Cal Poly, UC Santa Barbara In Crucial Big West Tilt

HONOLULU – The University of Hawai'i Warrior tennis team (6-11, 3-1 Big West) hits the road for a pair of key Big West Conference matchups against Cal Poly (Apr. 16) and UC Santa Barbara (Apr. 17). The matches are the final ragualr season contests before the Big West Tournament which begins on Apr. 25-28 in Indio, Calif.

With wins against Cal Poly and UCSB, the 'Bows will win the regular season outright and earn the top seed heading into the tournament.
 
UH is tied with Pacific and the Cal Poly for the conference lead. Cal Poly (11-8, 3-1 BWC) is on a three-match winning streak, all BWC opponents, including a 5-2 victory over Pacific. No. 25 Andre Dome is the standout this season going 17-2 and carrying a 15-match win streak.
 
The Gauchos (8-9, 1-1 BWC) are comfortable at home with a 6-2 record. Ziad Sultan has the most dual match wins this season, going 11-4 and 8-2 in his last 10 matches.
 
Dmytro Kovalyov is currently on a three-match win streak, all coming on the No. 3 Court. In doubles, David Schuster and Jared Spiker are on a two-match win streak, winning both as the third pairing.
