Game Notes

The University of Hawai'i men's basketball team (17-12, 10-7 Big West) plays its final regular-season game on the road when it faces Cal State Northridge (13-17, 4-13 BWC) on Thursday, March 7. Tipoff is set for 7:30 p.m. PT (5:30 p.m. HT) at the Matadome.
 
UH looks to end the regular-season strong after dropping three of its last four Big West contests. The Rainbow Warriors slid to fifth in the league standings following a disappointing 64-61 loss to Cal Poly in their home finale last Saturday. The standings are far from determined and teams are jockeying for position for next week's Big West Tournament in Anaheim. UH could finish anywhere from a tie to second to sixth place in a muddled Big West race.
 
Leading the Rainbow Warriors are junior forward Christian Standhardinger (15.6 ppg, 7.9 rpg) and senior center Vander Joaquim (14.0 ppg, 8.1 rpg). Senior point guard Jace Tavita continues to lead the Big West at 5.6 apg. 
 
CSUN will also be closing out its regular-season on Thursday. The Matadors, sitting in ninth-place, have been eliminated from Big West Tournament contention. In the first meeting between the team's this season,  the 'Bows defeated the Matadors, 74-71, in Honolulu on Dec. 29 in the program's Big West debut.
