Final Results
WAIKOLOA, Hawai'i – The University of Hawai'i men's golf team concluded the Amer Ari Invitational Friday finishing in 19
th place after shooting a third round 297 – its best round of the tournament – at the Waikoloa Kings' Course.
The Warriors finished the tournament with a three round score of 902 (298-307-297). Fourth-ranked UCLA and No. 7 Washington were crowned co-champions after finishing the tournament with a total score of 842 (22-under), respectively.
Individually, Auburn's Dominic Bozzelli took medalist honors after shooting a final round 67 for a three round score of 205 (11-under). Oregon State's David Fink, an 'Iolani School graduate, and Washington's Trevor Simsby tied for second after each shot 207 (3-under).
Hilo native
Nainoa Calip was UH's top finisher, tying for 70
th place after shooting a final round 76 for a three round total of 222 (74-72-76). The junior got off to a solid start with two birdies and an eagle through his first seven holes but struggled the rest of the way, going 7-over for his final 11 holes.
Sophomore
Ryan Kuroiwa (74-77-74) finished in a tie for 91
st after shooting a total score of 225 (74-77-74). Senior
Cory Oride shot a 227 (75-77-75) to finish tied for 96
th. Sophomore
Brian Lee finished in 104
th after posting a three round score of 230 (77-81-72) and freshman Scott Yamashita shot a three round 238 (75-81-82) to finish in 114
th.
The Warriors return home to host the prestigious John A. Burns Intercollegiate on Feb. 20-22 at the Turtle Bay Resort.
