Women’s Golf Continues Play At Folino Invite

INDUSTRY HILLS, Calif. – The University of Hawai'i women's golf team improved three strokes from its Round 1 score with a 333 in Round 2 Monday at the Folino Invitational at the Industry Hills Golf Club.
 
The Rainbow Wahine continue to sit in 12th place with a two-round score of 669 (336-333). Gonzaga leads the field at 607 after a second round 304, eight strokes ahead of UC Riverside, who moved up six spots with the day's best score of 299.
 
Senior Ka'ili Britos leads the UH contingent and is tied for 35th after a second round 84 and a 162 total. The rest of the group includes junior Liana Otake (84-82), junior Charlee Kapiioho (85-84), freshman Nichole Cruz (89-83), and senior Megan Inouye (89-84), all of whom improved their score from a day earlier.
 
Portland State's Aram Choi is the Round 2 leader after firing an even par 72 on Monday. She holds a one stroke lead over Gonzaga's Raychelle Santos (148). Five other golfers are within three strokes of the lead.
 
The tournament concludes with the third and final round on Tuesday.
