Round 1 Results

INDUSTRY HILLS, Calif. – The University of Hawai'i women's golf team currently sits in 12th place after shooting a 336 in round one of the Folino Invitational Sunday at the Industry Hills Golf Club.
 
Gonzaga holds the first day lead in the team standings after shooting a first round 303. Boise State sits in second place only four strokes behind.  Host and fellow Big West opponent Cal State Fullerton is currently in a tie for sixth place after day one.
 
CSUF's Kristen Aiu has the lead in the individual standings after shooting a 2-over 73. Five players are within one stroke of the lead going into the second round.
 
For the Rainbow Wahine, senior Ka'ili Britos leads the team after shooting a first round 78 and currently sits within five strokes of the lead in a tie for 20th place. Juniors Liana Otake and Charlee Kapiioho shot a first round 84 and 85, respectively. Otake sits in a tie for 54th place and Kapiioho is tied for 58th going into Monday.
 
Freshman Nichole Cruz and senior Megan Inouye both shot an 89 in their first round and sit in a tie for 65th.
 
The Folino Invitational will continue on Monday with round two and will conclude on Tuesday.
