The Rainbow Warriors (0-11, 0-8 MW) fell to 0-11 on the season following a 59-56 overtime loss to Wyoming last week in Laramie. Hawai'i concluded its second year in the MW by finishing winless in conference play for just the third time in school history. In the losing effort, quarterback Sean Schroeder passed for a career-high 499 yards and six touchdowns. Wide receiver Chris Gant tied a single-game UH record with four touchdown catches.

Army has not played since Nov. 9 and enters the contest at 3-7, having lost its last three games. The Black Knights are coached by former UH assistant Rich Ellerson, who has a 20-39 record in five seasons at Army.
