Women’s Tennis To Host Stanford

The University of Hawai'i womens tennis team returns to action for their final fall match of the year against No. 1 Stanford on Novmeber 25th in Kona, Hawai'i. Matches start at 1:00 p.m.

The Rainbow Wahine come into the match after having a solid showing earlier this month at the Weinman Foundation Invitational, which had its final day canceled due to inclement weather. Senior Kelsey Daguio had a great showing as she earned victories in both singles and doubles play on the opening day while junior Rebecca Faltusz also earned singles and doubles victories the following day.

Stanford comes in as the defending national champions, and are ranked number one in the country. They have three players who are ranked among the top 125.  The Cardinal are led by Senior Kristie Ahn and sophomore Krista Hardebeck. Earlier this season, Ahn competed and won the ITA Northwest Regional Championships singles title against Jenny Jullien (Saint Mary's). Hardebeck is the eighth ranked player in the country.  Last season she compiled a team best overall record of 36-13 and was an NCAA All-Tournament team selection en route to a national championship.
