Game Notes
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The University of Hawai'i Rainbow Warrior basketball team heads to the road for the first time this season when it travels to Kansas City, Mo., for a match-up with Missouri on Saturday, Nov. 16 at 6:00 p.m. CT (2:00 p.m. HT).
Despite being played in the "Show Me" state, it will be neutral site match-up for the teams as they meet at the Sprint Center, which has hosted the Big 12 Tournament, multiple NCAA Tournaments and is home of the National Collegiate Basketball Hall of Fame.
The Rainbow Warriors leave the comfort of the islands after starting off the season with a 2-1 mark in the Outrigger Hotels and Resorts Rainbow Classic. Sophomore forward
Isaac Fotu led the team over the weekend at 16.7 ppg and 9.0 rpg and was named tournament MVP for his efforts. After winning its first two games by double-digits, UH fell to former conference foe New Mexico State, 95-88, in a nationally-televised midnight game on Nov. 12.
Hawai'i now looks to rebound while facing its stiffest challenge thus far. The Tigers, who won 23 games last season, have defeated its first two opponents—Southeast Louisiana and Southern Illinois—by an average of 24.5 ppg.
