Round 1 Results
WAHIAWA, O'ahu – The University of Hawai'i women's golf team is currently in second place, five strokes behind Sacramento State, following the first day of the Rainbow Wahine Invitational, Tuesday, at the Leilehua Golf Course.
The Rainbow Wahine shot 304 and are one stroke clear of Colorado State and New Mexico State, who are tied for third place.
Individually, freshman
Raquel Ek is one stroke behind the first round leaders after a 2-over 74. Northern Arizona's Kaitlen Parsons, BYU's Lea Garner, and Sacramento State's Tiffany Nichols each shot 1-over 73.
UH freshman
Izzy Leung and sophomore
Nichole Cruz each shot 4-over 76 and are in a six-way tie for 12
th place along with freshmen
Daezsa Tomas and Brianne Becker, who are both competing as individuals.
Also competing for UH are freshman
Kelli-Anne Katsuda (78) and senior
Liana Otake (80) while senior Charlee-Kapiioho-Sagum shot 77 as an individual.
The three-day tournament continues with the second round on Wednesday with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start.
