UH Swimming & Diving To Host Minnesota

HONOLULU – The University of Hawai'i men's and women's swimming & diving teams will host the Minnesota Gophers in a dual meet this Saturday, Jan. 12 at the Duke Kahanamoku Aquatic Complex. The men's team comes in ranked No. 15 in the nation with the Lady Gophers holding a No. 13 national ranking.

The men's and women's swimming teams most recently hosted USC, Wisconsin, and Boise State this past Friday, Jan. 4. The Warriors were led by Luca Mazzurana took second in both the 200 IM and 100 butterfly events, with Karima Chuk and Rachel Kote swimming to third and fourth place finishes for the Rainbow Wahine in their respective events.

The divers will be led on the men's side by Luke Hayes who placed first in the 3-meter and 1-meter events at the Hawai'i Diving Invitational on Saturday and Sunday. Newcomer Aimee Harrision dove to a third place finish in the women's 3-meter.

The meet will be the regular-season finale for the Warrior swimmers and divers, who will then set their sites on the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation swimming and diving championships in late February.
