No. 8 Hawai'i Returns Home To Host UC Irvine, Long Beach State

Match Notes

HONOLULU – After opening the Big West Conference season with three road wins, the No. 8 University of Hawai'i Rainbow Wahine volleyball team will play its conference home opener this week against UC Irvine and Long Beach State at the Stan Sheriff Center. UH takes on UCI on Thursday, Sept. 27 at 7:00 p.m. and LBSU on Saturday, Sept. 29 at 7:00 p.m.

The 'Bows enter the week 10-2 overall and 3-0 in conference after three road wins last week including a pair of five-set thrillers against Cal State Northridge (Sept. 19) and Cal State Fullerton (Sept. 22). Middle hitter Kalei Adolpho has a team-high 48 total blocks and among starters, Mita Uiato leads the 'Bows with a .396 attack percentage.

Prior to the matches, Hawai'i will host an exhibition match on Tuesday, Sept. 24 at the Stan Sheriff Center against Japanese professional team Toyota Auto Body Queenseis. First serve is set for 7:00 p.m.
