Day 1 Results
CORVALLIS, Ore. - The University of Hawai'i women's golf team is currently tied for 13th after day one of the Oregon State Invitational, Monday, at Trysting Tree Golf Club.
The Rainbow Wahine began the day by shooting 311 in the first round and improved two strokes in the second round with a 309. After the first round the Rainbow Wahine were in 13th place, one stroke behind Weber State.
Senior Ka'ili Britos had a strong morning round shooting 1-under 71 and was in fifth place with three other competitors. She shot 76 in Round 2 and finished the day tied for 14th for a total two round score of 3-over 147.
Both junior Liana Otake and freshman Nichole Cruz ended the first day tied at 157. Otake shot a 79 in the first round and 78 in Round 2 while Cruz shot 77 and 80. Both are currently in 58th place going into Tuesday's final round.
Also competing for UH are junior Charlee Kapiioho (84-75=159/ T63) and sophomore Kaylee Koeppen (86-89=175/89).
Washington leads the tournament at 565 and holds a 26-stroke lead over second place Washington State (591). Washington's SooBin Kim leads all individuals after shooting 3-under par after two rounds.
Play will continue on Tuesday with the third and final round.
