2012 Mountain West TV Schedule
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The Mountain West Conference released its football national television schedule for the 2012 season with the University of Hawai'i slated for four nationally televised games.
The Warriors will appear on three different networks and the four contests will comprise of two home games and two road games. New Mountain West members Hawai`i and Nevada will help open the conference television schedule in Honolulu on Saturday, Sept. 22 with a 4:30 p.m. HT telecast on NBC Sports Network. The other UH home contest on the national schedule is versus Boise State on Saturday, Nov. 10. The game will also be broadcast on NBC Sports Network with a 2:00 p.m. HT start.
The Warriors two road games on national television will be at San Diego State on Saturday, Oct. 6 (CBS Sports Network, 5:00 p.m. PT) and at Air Force on Friday, Nov. 16 (ESPN2, 7:30 p.m. MT).
The conference's television schedule currently features a minimum of 25 games on a variety of nationally-distributed networks. The Mountain West moves into a new television agreement with CBS Sports Network to increase national exposure for the conference's football programs. CBS Sports Network, the conference's rights holder, will sub-license games to NBC Sports Network and ESPN.
Mountain West Conference membership this fall includes Air Force, Boise State, Colorado State, Fresno State, Hawai`i, Nevada, New Mexico, San Diego State, UNLV and Wyoming.
Since 2001, UH has made 42 national television appearances, including five last year. The Warriors, coming off a 6-7 season, will be led this fall by first-year head coach
Norm Chow.
