Day 1 Results
SAN JOSE, Calif. – The University of Hawai'i women's golf team completed day one of the Juli Inkster Spartan Invitational Monday, March 5 at the Almaden Golf and Country Club in San Jose, Calif.
The Rainbow Wahine shot a first round 323 followed by a second round 326 putting them in 12th place at 649.
Junior Ka'ili Britos leads UH after firing rounds of 78 and 79 and is currently in a tie for 34th place at 157.
Also competing for Hawai'i are sophomores Charlee Kapiioho (76-82=154/t38th),
Anna DePalma (81-88=169/t60th), and
Liana Otake (88-82=70/63rd), and junior
Brigitte Baker (90-83=173/t65th).
Leading team competition is California at 583 followed by UC Davis at 588. Rounding out the top five are Washington (596), Oregon (597), and UC-Irvine (604).
Cal's Daniela Holmqvist is the individual leader at 3-under par after shooting rounds of 71 and 69 and holds a one stroke lead over teammate Joanne Lee. Demi Runas of UC-Davis was the only other player to shoot under-par and is in third place at 1-under.
Play will continue Tuesday with the third and final round.
