Final Results
LAKESIDE, Calif. –The University of Hawai'i men's golf team finished the Barona Collegiate Cup in 13
th place at 1125 at the Barona Creek Golf Club in Lakeside, Calif.
Players began the day by with the conclusion of round two which was suspended Thursday due to darkness. The Warriors finished the round in 12
th place with a score of 377 and followed it up with a final round 387.
Leading the way for UH was senior
T.J. Kua who finished in a tie for 50
th place at 221. The Kaua'i native finished the second round with a 1-over 73 putting him at even-par for the tournament, before shooting a final round 5-over 77.
Also competing were junior
Cory Oride (70-76-76=222/t52nd), sophomore
David Saka (72-77-75=224/t63rd), freshman
Brian Lee (75-71-78=224t/63rd), sophomore
Tommy Yamashita (73-80-81=234/t92nd), and freshman
Ryan Kuroiwa (77-84-88=249/106th).
Host San Diego State took the team title with a 29-under par 1051. SDSU's J.J. Spaun claimed the individual title at 14-under par.
The Warriors will tee it up again April 14 when they travel to California to play in the Western Intercollegiate.
