Day 1 Results
TUCSON, Ariz. – The University of Hawai'i men's golf team is in 10
th place after two rounds of play at the National Invitational Tournament at the Omni Tucson National Golf Club in Tucson, Ariz.
The Warriors struggles came early as they finished round one in 11
th place at 309. The team turned it around in the afternoon, improving 17 strokes with a second round 292.
Leading UH is sophomore
David Saka who began the day with a first round 3-over 75 followed up with a career-best 1-over 73. Saka is currently tied for 27
th place at 4-over par (148).
Also competing for Hawai'i are junior
Cory Oride (77-72=149/t32nd), freshman
Ryan Kuroiwa (80-72=152/t48th), freshman
Brian Lee (79-75=154/t60th), and senior
T.J. Kua (78-77=155/t63rd).
San Diego State leads all teams at 566 followed by BYU at 572. SDSU's J.J. Spaun leads all individuals at 11-under and holds a one stroke lead over BYU's Zachary Blair at 10-under.
Play will conclude tomorrow with the third and final round.
