LOS ANGELES, Calif. – The University of Hawai'i women's tennis squad embarks on a four-game road trip to compete against Loyola Marymount, No. 56 UC Irvine, Fresno State, and No. 54 San Diego State all in six days time.
The Rainbow Wahine, who feature the region's 10th-ranked doubles pair of
Katarina Poljakova and
Jamie Pawid, will begin their road swing at the LMU Tennis Center against Loyola Marymount. UH will face a winless (0-3) Lions team looking to turn things around when they play on Wednesday, Feb. 8 at 1:30 pm PT.
Following the match against the Lions, UH will head over to Irvine, Calif. to face UC Irvine. The Anteaters (2-2) are coming off a win at home against Brigham Young and are looking to create a winning streak on Thursday, Feb. 9 against the Rainbow Wahine.
The Rainbow Wahine next take on Fresno State (1-3) is next in line to play when they face-off at the Spalding G. Wathen Tennis Center. The Bulldogs, armed with the play of No. 49 Marianne Jodoin, are coming off a huge win against No. 64 UC Davis and want to continue their momentum into Western Athletic Conference play. This will be the first conference match for both teams this season.
The Rainbow Wahine end the road trip against San Diego State (2-2) on Monday, February 13. That match will be played at the Aztec Tennis Center in San Diego, Calif. with SDSU boasting the 5th-ranked region doubles tandem of Roxanne Ellison and Sierra Ellison.
