Game Notes
RUSTON, La. – The University of Hawai'i men's basketball team (15-12, 6-4 WAC) plays the last of three straight road games when it takes on Louisiana Tech (14-14, 4-7) on Saturday, Feb. 25. Tipoff is set for 3:00 p.m. CT (11:00 a.m. HT).
The Rainbow Warriors are looking to rebound after a pair of lopsided losses in its first two legs of the trip at Montana (94-79) and at New Mexico State (115-73). The loss to the Aggies on Thursday was the team's second-largest margin of defeat ever in a Western Athletic Conference game, while the 'Bows surrendered its most points in 14 years.
Hawai'I, which sits in fourth place with three league games remaining, now faces a Louisiana Tech squad that has won its last three straight. The Bulldogs upset the 'Bows, 71-67, in the first meeting between the teams last month in Honolulu as starters
Zane Johnson and
Jeremiah Ostrowski were both sidelined.
The game at Louisiana Tech will be UH's final regular-season road game ever in the WAC as the 'Bows will join the Big West Conference next season after 33 years in the WAC. Hawai'i will conclude its regular season at home next week with games versus Idaho (March 1) and Utah State (March 3).
