STANFORD, Calif . – The University of Hawaii women's golf team concluded its first tournament of the spring season with a 12
th place finish at the Peg Barnard Invitational, Sunday, at the Stanford Golf Course.
The Rainbow Wahine improved 10 strokes from Saturday's first round 336 with a second round 326 for a 662 total. California won the team title at 587 while Cal's Emily Childs and Fresno State's Christine Uhalde shared medalist honors at 3-over 145.
The top finisher for the Rainbow Wahine was junior Ka'ili Britos, who tied for 39
th place after firing an 82 on Sunday. The Honolulu native shot an opening round 78 and finished the tournament at 160.
Senior
Megan Inouye improved 11 strokes from her first round 88 with a 6-over 77 to tie for 50
th at 165. Also competing for UH were
Erika Lundberg (88-82=170/t59
th),
Liana Otake (82-91=173/t64
th), and
Madeleine Ystrom (89-85=174/66
th).
The Rainbow Wahine will next compete in the Juli Inkster Spartan Invitational, March 5-6.
