The 'Bows wasted no time in setting the tone for the evening. They used a 10-2 run in the opening set to win going away. The Gauchos posed more of a challenge for the 'Bows in set two. UCSB went on an early 6-2 run, but block assists by Vorster and Uiato cut the lead to 11-9. The rally continued as a pair of kills by Adolpho and another by Croson gave UH a 15-12 lead, forcing UCSB to call a timeout. Hartong buried five kills in the set while going error free, and the 'Bows won the set and then completed the sweep with their win in set three.
UH returns to action on Saturday, Nov. 3, to take on Cal Poly. First serve at the Stan Sheriff Center is set for 7:00 p.m.
