Round 1 Results
SAMMAMISH, Wash. – The University of Hawai'i women's golf team completed the first round of the Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational with a 328, Monday at the Sahalee Country Club.
Senior Ka'ili Britos paced the Rainbow Wahine by shooting a 3-over 75, which sits her in 15
th place with nine others heading into Tuesday's second round. Britos' round included three birdies, one bogey and two double bogeys.
Host Washington holds the first day lead with a 293. UW's Cyd Okino, a Punahou School graduate, shot 2-under 70, one stroke ahead of teammates Charlotte Thomas and SooBin Kim.
UH freshman
Nichole Cruz had a rough start to her round, with a 6-over on the 10
th hole – her first of the day – but settled down thereafter shooting 2-over the rest of the day for an 80.
Also competing for the Rainbow Wahine were senior
Megan Inouye (86), junior
Liana Otake (87), and junior Charlee Kapiioho (89).
The second round continues on Tuesday.
