Match Notes
HONOLULU – The No. 9 University of Hawai'i Rainbow Wahine volleyball team will look to remain unbeaten in the Big West Conference when it travels to Long Beach State and UC Irvine this weekend. UH will play Long Beach State on Friday, Oct. 26 and UC Irvine on Saturday, Oct. 27. First serve for both matches is set for 7:00 p.m. PT (4:00 p.m. HT).
Hawai'i (17-2, 10-0 BWC) enters the weekend with a foothold on the conference title but fresh off narrowly beating Pacific on Saturday night at the Stan Sheriff Center. The 'Bows dropped the first two sets before rallying to win and extending their nation-best conference winning streak to 65 matches.
The matches will be the second go around for UH against the 49ers and Anteaters. The 'Bows swept both teams when they visited the Stan Sheriff Center in late September.
Emily Hartong continues to lead the Big West with 311 total kills and a 4.32 kills per set average. Middle hitter
Jade Vorster currently boasts a .361 attacking percentage which is also tops in the Big West.
Hawai'i is 25-15-1 all-time against Long Beach State and 27-0 versus UC Irvine. Friday's match against the 49ers will be broadcast live on Fox Sports Prime Ticket available in Hawai'i on Oceanic Digital Cable channels 228 (SD) and 1228 (HD).
